Brian Buss joined the Firm in December 2007. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst who brings an extensive background in corporate finance, business valuation, banking and consulting as well as working both as an advisor to and at entrepreneurial companies.

A graduate of Claremont McKenna College where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Economics, Mr. Buss received his CFA Charter in 1997.

Mr. Buss specializes in providing business valuation and corporate finance advisory services. He has served as the CFO of a technology start-up, managed multiple M&A and public offering transactions, and developed valuation analyses a wide variety of businesses and intangible assets. In addition, Mr. Buss has served as advisor, commercial banker, consultant, and investment banker in both the US and overseas across a range of industries including: technology, transport, agriculture, biotech, consumer products and manufacturing.

Mr. Buss’ professional experience includes work for Westpac Institutional Bank in New Zealand and Australia, the Corporate Finance and Financial Advisory Services practices of Deloitte & Touche, and Princeton Venture Research in San Diego.

Mr. Buss is a member of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego and the Corporate Finance Council of San Diego.
