Arthur Brodshatzer is a founding partner of Brodshatzer, Wallace, Spoon & Yip. His extensive background crosses both professional and academic lines as both a Certified Public Accountant and a university professor of accounting.

Dr. Brodshatzer's doctorate is in Business Administration. After earning degrees from the College of the City of New York and New York University, he moved to California where he obtained his doctorate from the University of Southern California. Because of his strong understanding of economics, marketing and management along with his accounting and auditing expertise, Dr. Brodshatzer is uniquely positioned to provide a broad scope of capabilities including management services, consultation with clients on general business matters including advice on buying or selling businesses, and consulting for attorneys as an expert witness.

After instructing in accounting at Washington State University, he became a Professor of Accounting at San Diego State University where he organized and chaired numerous seminars for the university, including some in cooperation with the Small Business Administration that dealt with topics such as accounting for small business, taxation, forecasting and budgeting.

Dr. Brodshatzer has also taught courses for attorneys on damages associated with business, personal injury and wrongful death, as well as accounting and litigation issues and matters including business valuation. These courses have been taught under the auspices of the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association and in-house seminars for law firms. Special courses dealing with white collar crime were taught for the United States Attorney General's office in San Diego and the California Department of Justice.

As an expert witness, Dr. Brodshatzer is retained by attorneys to help prepare or render testimony in litigation matters relating to intellectual property damages, tax fraud, class actions involving corporate management and CPAs, bankruptcy, anti-trust, federal securities violations, evaluation of community property in divorce matters, damage calculations in personal injury, wrongful termination and business cases, and corporate and partnership dissolutions.
